Did you know that even one in three women in the world suffers from urinary incontinence? Urinary incontinence is a common problem that causes great psychological and physical discomfort. Nevertheless, women are reluctant to see a doctor, although there are modern and effective treatments – laser or radiofrequency treatment for urinary incontinence that significantly improve well-being and quality of life.

Laser incontinence treatment is performed with one of the most advanced AMI company CO2 laser BX300 on the market. It is the only laser in Lithuania that has an automatic mode that thoroughly interviews the vaginal wall and determines the depth of the light wave intervention. These laser features allow the treatment to be performed with the utmost precision without damaging other tissues. The laser produces a thermal effect and acts on the deep tissues of the vagina: the production of collagen is intensified, the elastin fibers contract, and the formation of new blood vessels encouraged. In this way, vaginal tissues are regenerated and tightened, which results in better retention of the bladder and other pelvic organs, preventing involuntary passage of urine.

The INDIBA® Deep Care radiofrequency module promotes tissue regeneration by using the 448 kHz radiofrequency. Radiofrequency energy increases cell membrane permeability and ion migration, thus normalizing cell activity. The heat generated activates blood circulation, the tissues are better supplied with oxygen and nutrients, and the production of collagen is stimulated.

Treatment of urinary incontinence can also be medication, injection, surgical. A gynecologist who has performed an examination selects the most appropriate method of treatment for urinary incontinence. Combination therapy is possible. Lina Čiaplinskienė, a doctor of gynecology and obstetrician, consults and treats gynecological problems in our clinic.

Benefits of the procedure

  • It is a safe, painless and non-surgical laser or radiofrequency treatment of urinary incontinence, which is very effective in solving the problem.
  • The procedure helps to strengthen the vaginal tissues, creates better support for the organs of the urinary system, which eliminates or drastically reduces the symptoms of urinary incontinence. Psychological and physical conditions and quality of life are greatly improved.
  • Laser and radiofrequency stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin, resulting in a more elastic mucous membrane, improved blood circulation, oxygenation of tissues, reduces dryness and itching.

Course of the procedure

  1. Before the procedure, you will need to consult a gynecologist who will perform an examination, appoint a treatment, tell you about the procedure and answer any questions you may have.

  2. Treatment of urinary incontinence occurs by inserting a laser or radiofrequency handpiece into the vagina. The deep layers of the vagina are exposed to laser heat, which triggers the production of collagen and elastin. This restores and strengthens the vaginal tissues and stops involuntary release of urine.

  3. You should refrain from having sexual intercourse for two to three days, swimming in the pool, hot tubs; also follow the other recommendations of your doctor.

How many treatments are needed?

Approximately three procedures are recommended monthly for laser treatment and up to eight procedures for radiotherapy. The gynecologist, who takes into account the severity of the problem, general health, or other factors, determines the exact number of procedures.

Duration of the procedure

About 30 minutes.
